by C.R.

Love... There are many ways to show your love to the people you truly cared about. You go out of your way to make them happy. Yet in the end, they get hurt because of you. Guilt... That's what you are going to feel once you learn the truth. Time and death can't even help you forget your mistakes. All that is left is to live In the Shadow of the Past.

Jerry Yan despised his father for abandoning his mother and him when he was merely five years old. He only came to see the dying man so that he could have his chance to vent his pent-up anger and hatred. Yet, his short trip with a simple agenda spun off the track when the family nurse, Barbie Xu, stopped him from leaving his estranged father's house.

He was her paperweight guy. She could not erase his charming smile from her mind as she had involuntarily used him as a shield against the one that she truly had feelings for, Vic Zhou.

She was his paperweight girl, the one that made his heart beat erotically, the one that he had an one-night-stand with about a year ago. He was finally able to profess his love to her at this unexpected reunion only to find out that she wasn't who he thought she was.

Their true identities made it impossible for them to reconcile with their past. Their love for each other was their only hope for true happiness. However, just how long would it take them to realize that?

Madison County

Time flied. The harder they tried to stay away from each other, the harder they could keep each other out of their minds. He believed in perfect moments that could live forever as pieces of memories. She believed in waiting for eternity for the one that could promise her the forever happiness. It was the difference in their definitions of true love that had kept them apart and struggle to find the way away from each other. Yet, they couldn't help coming back to square one, again and again, right in each other's heart. And the more important question is... did they really believe in what they claimed to believe in?

Memory Pieces
by Bedazzled and Jeda

Theirs is the kind of love that is unconditional, immeasurable, boundless, timeless…

The first time Jerry Yan laid his eyes on Barbie Hsu, he knew that she is an exquisite treasure that only comes once in a lifetime. Mesmerized by her innocence and enchanting beauty, he vowed to see her again. Just when he thought his search is hopeless, he saw her again... Showing a brave front at the wedding of her Ex-Fiancé and best friend, yet on the inside, he knew that she was falling apart. There was no need for words but his mere presence comforted her.

Theirs is the kind of love that is rare… Exchange of love letters followed since then, allowing them to get to know each other, just like how a photographer knows every part of his camera. Through their exchange of letters, they have become the most important person in each other’s life. A dear friend, a trusted confidant, a worthy adviser, a comforter, a crying shoulder. More and more Jerry realized that Barbie is the woman he’s been waiting for all his life.

Theirs is the kind of love wherein one won't be able to live, breathe and survive without the other… He realized that she’s the last person he wanted to see the moment he closes his eyes at night and the first face to greet his sight the moment he opens them. He wanted to be with her every day, every hour, every minute, every second. He was determined to make her HIS wife… to love, to cherish, to hold… only HIS…

Theirs is the love that is perfect… until one fateful day. Darkness crept in and stole the bright future that is waiting ahead of them. Each bits and pieces of her puzzle that contain a special memory -- things that she would treasure forever -- was shattered by a tragedy.

Theirs is the kind of love that does not abandon despite the difficulties of time… the kind of love that is so deep that it could surpass any storm...the kind of love that will never fade, never falter, never wither, never die... Will her puzzle be completed once more? Can their love save their Memory Pieces?

Nine Months
by Elle Wu

When chick-magnet Jerry Yan gets an unexpected visitor one day claiming that she's carrying his child that resulted from a careless one-night stand, his beloved grandfather gives him a choice: marry the girl or lose his inheritance. For someone who has never worked a day in his life, losing his inheritance is not really the most appealing --- especially if it's worth a stake in a growing business empire. Divorce is doable, but money is irreplaceable.

But Barbie Hsu is no easy girl. When Jerry offers her marriage, she flat out refused him. The reason? She's got a big secret up her sleeve, and Jerry's perfect older brother, Vanness, may have everything to do with it.

What ensues is a comical dilemma of telling apart between truths and lies. Amidst the craziness of changing diapers, reading sonograms, house-hunting, job-searching, morning sickness, and parenting, one may just realize that love is only Nine Months away...

The Log Cabin
by C.R.

No matter how strong the love is, it is also the most fragile thing that needs tender loving care at all times. And sometimes, no matter how strong the love is, it still can't bear a ten-thousand-foot plunge, especially when there are already little cracks here and there in the relationship.

Barbie and Jerry were so in love that they tied the knot with each other and vowed that they would stay on each other's side for better or worse until death do them part. What if they both thought the other one had broken a most important part of the vow, that is, to be faithful to each other. Or was it just because of those unintentional mistakes they made along the way during their marriage that they had to break the tie with each other?

It was a long and agony-filled divorce battle. It wasn't about money or properties they owned. Well, it would appear to be so because it was about a log cabin. That's what they used to call it even though it was way too big to be called a cabin. However, neither of them really gave a d**n about the one-million-dollar price tag on the vacation home. It was the memories in that log cabin that made them fight over it… because they were their memories. Both of them were just too proud and too deeply hurt to admit that they still loved each other, that they still needed each other in their lives.

Memories can be so cruel at times even if they are the sweetest ones. They can stab you right in your heart when you least expect them to. They can make you do things that would easily qualify you to be sent to an anger management class. Would the memories only become the source of their pain for the rest of their lives or would they be the magic to bring them back together again?
